2018 Spring Conference

Abundant provision
Selfless sharing

God spoke through His faithful servants in all past spring conferences to revive and encourage our congregants.  Many transformations were noted every year: some courageously took on God’s challenge and calling in their lives, and some seekers became our congregants after the conference.  It also provides great opportunities for brothers and sisters from different congregations to mingle, play, and work together. We pray that God will speak to us and build up His church through this conference.

The budget for the conference this year is around $31 thousands.  In light of the amendment by Revenue Canada regarding the definition of “gift” for tax purposes, personal consumption, such as accommodation, food, etc cannot be part of the “gift.” And this is our registration fee respectively. The remaining funds will be collected through offering (please specify on offering envelop); this contribution can be used for tax purposes. If anyone requires financial assistance, please contact pastoral staff by April 22. Spring Conference planning committee has decided to receive offering starting on April 1 to June 3, total of 10 Sundays. Should there be any difference between the amount collected and the actual expenses, the corresponding surplus or deficit will be included as this year’s general fund income or expenses.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.”
(Gal 6:2; NIV)

“The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
(2Co 9:6-7; ESV)

Bible verse of the day

Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
